Karen is a curious, adventurous weaver who is drawn to intricate interlacements, but equally thrilled when simple combinations of structure, color, and texture yield beautiful complex-looking designs.

Karen loves learning and figuring things out. When she does, she is committed to sharing her discoveries and weaving knowledge through a teaching practice that meets other weavers where they are and gives them new tools to achieve their personal weaving goals.
Karen teaches a wide variety of workshops, seminars, and lectures for weaving conferences, craft schools, guilds, and groups, both in-person and online.
Writing skills acquired in her pre-weaving life inform her teaching style and help her reach even more weavers through articles written for major weaving publications and an upcoming book.
