International organization dedicated to expanding the boundaries of handweaving, to encourage weavers to develop their own creative styles, to inspire through research, documentation, and the sharing of innovative ideas. We challenge our skills and imagination by sharing information and innovations with our fellow weavers – both directly and through our study groups, Seminars, Journal and biennial exhibition, Complexity.

Southern Highland Craft Guild
A juried guild of craftspeople in the Southern Appalachian region. Its mission is “Bringing together the crafts and craftspeople of the Southern Highlands for the benefit of shared resources, education, marketing and conservation."

Local Cloth: Farm/Fiber/Fashion Network
A Western North Carolina-based 501(c)3 nonprofit founded to encourage and support collaboration among textile artists, designers, fiber producers, suppliers and related small businesses. Its mission is to sustain and grow a thriving regional fiber and textile arts economy and bring locally grown and made textile products to consumers within and beyond the Blue Ridge.
