Large, tumeric-colored felted wool vest made by another local artist was draped, sculpted and hand stitched by Loretta to new silhouette, with Burma silk edge bindings and couched twisted cord blending skirt yarns and metallic novelty yarn. Poplar leaves were patterns for felted wool/Angelina fiber embellishments. Felted-leaf, bead-embellished handbag crafted from felt scraps. Original tumeric blossom-colored blouse is Italian silk. Loretta made skirt from coordinating cotton-Tencel fabric designed and hand woven by Karen in a twill block pattern incorporating hand-dyed Dye-Lishus® Cotton yarn from New World Textiles of Black Mountain, NC.
